The Chakma Development Foundation of India (CDFI) was established by Suhas Chakma, an activist and commentator on current affairs on rights and democracy issues effectively to protect the rights of the Chakmas, preserve their distinct identities and strengthen relations with other communities irrespective of caste, creed, ethnicity or nationality. It has been active since July 2021.
